Appearance
Spade is one of those casual type people, who don't truly have a regard for their style of clothing or hair, but can still pull off a decent look. She had black hair that seems to be a dark shade of blue put into a pony-tail in a red ribbon. Her hair has some fly-aways, but she doesn't really care about them. Two longer bits of her hair go down the front of her chest, past her collarbone. Her bangs are small spikes of hair that start from the right of her face, and become longer to the other side, causing part of her left eye to be covered by her dark hair. She likes to wear colors of red or black. Her eyes are a dark red color, and she has flesh colored skin. She stands at a decent height of five feet and seven inches, and weighs a hundred and five pounds. She has a cool manner, and has a pretty care-free attitude wherever she goes. She moves with some elegance, and with a smooth gait, like she doesn't need to rush things. Her head is raised up high, and she way of speaking and actions show she has some self-confidence in herself. She has usually a face blank of many emotions, yet her dark red eyes are always sharp and alert to many things. Spade speaks in a usually calm, almost monotonous voice, and it makes her seem as if she has no interest in the conversation.
Spade likes to wear a red blazer over a triangular collared shirt that is has a red ribbon on the front. It's seems sort of dressy, but Spade likes the color match up and it's actually quite comfortable to her. She wears a short skirt and black tights underneath, and even though it may not seem like the type of outfit that is needed for adventures, Spade knows what she's doing, and it hasn't hampered her yet.
Personality
Spade is a tomboyish girl who doesn't want anything to do with lots of people. She prefers the company of only her Pokémon, and she doesn't like to socialize or hang out with tons of people. Crowds make her feel like she can't breathe, and she hates that kind of feeling she gets as if her chest was being squeezed. She is the loner, and prefers not to talk a lot, only saying what is truly needed. She's quite mature, and doesn't act like an immature child, so she gets irritated to see people acting like wild animals and not like adults or the usual behavior of their age. Her maturity makes her a responsible person, so she's dependable to help out others, though the event is usually rare. Spade has a quick mind, and she can think fast in the middle of many situations.
Her temper is quite short, despite her calm demeanor, so she can lose it easily. She doesn't like anyone to disregard her as lower in rank to them, unless there was good reason to, and she'll immediately give a piece of her mind to those she deems "idiotic". She's also quite violent, and doesn't give a second thought to hitting someone for doing something wrong to her. She uses smacks to show that she doesn't like something, but that's usually to those of the male gender. Spade's also quite blunt and straightforward, so when she talks, she says exactly what is on her mind. She'll easily say "I like you" or "I don't" without a second thought. Her opinion of a person could change, but it takes a bit of a while because she can be quite stubborn. Her thoughts are hers, and she doesn't usually like to change them, but she's never the type to just stay on one idea, and changes them when she sees fit.
History
Spade started out in the region of Sinnoh, living in the small town Twinleaf. Her parents were both happy with living in the town, and their jobs were enough to support their lives. Spade's mother and father had a store, and their home was right above it. The store was run mostly by Hikaru, Spade's father, but Spade would try to help out as much as she could when she was eight. Her mother had a small Pokémon day-care near the store, and that was where she would help other trainers or people breed Pokémon. It was a small business, but many would come to Chiyoko to have their Pokémon taken care of. Her parents were always supportive of Spade, and they would give her whatever was needed to help her reach her dreams. This never meant they spoiled her, but were nurturing her to become a good person. Of course, fate couldn't stop Spade from growing up sort of cold to the world, but that is just how everyone is, they each have their own personalities, it's just that Spade's was a bit more unfriendly than most.
She always dreamed of becoming a trainer like her father, and from hearing all the stories her father told her of his travels, plus seeing the Pokémon he had with him made Spade more sure of her dream. Her parents were one of the most important people in her life, and she wanted to make them proud. She learned as much as she could about Pokémon, and at the age of ten, when talking to her parents, decided that she would be a trainer just like Hikaru. Spade's parents were extremely happy to hear that their daughter wanted to follow their passion of Pokémon, and supported her one hundred percent. Spade's father taught her the basics of Pokémon, like types, moves and abilities, while Spade's mother taught her how Pokémon were just like people, and needed love and care. When Spade had enough knowledge of Pokémon, she was deemed ready to begin with the consent of her father. Spade could start her journey in any region she wished, and her parents would help her get there.
Spade had a tough time deciding, but she was sure she didn't want to go through her home region. From all the stories her father told her, it felt as if she had already gone to every town. Also, she had visited some cities herself from business trips with her mother and father. She wanted somewhere new, someplace that would give her a fresh start. Researching on the web, she learned of the new region Caligo. She chose there, and her parents booked a ferry trip to the region.

Spade leaned against the wall in the back of the store, feeling quite claustrophobic to see all the people that were milling about in the store. She didn't openly complain, since the people meant that more could be made, but she didn't like that feeling she had when stuck in a place with tons of people. She looked to the left, and saw tons of bodies all packed together like sardines in a can, then darting her red eyes to the right, she saw an extremely long line that she swore curved all the way around the store. She sighed, and started to edge her way towards the store-room, then reaching their she darted in, hoping she wasn't spotted. However, a familiar voice called out, "So you're still avoiding crowds hmm?"
Turning sheepishly around, she looked down, "Yeah....sorry about that dad." With a kind grin, he said, "It's alright, I know you." He rubbed Spade's head, and then turned to go back to his customers.
Spade stared off after him, and she felt a pang of sadness of having to leave tomorrow to go to Caligo, but she knew it was a start of a new life for her, and she was hoping for a new adventure, possibly as good as the one her father had. Then dashing off upstairs, she went to recheck she had everything she needed for her new start.
