David Cheval – father

Appearance:
Lina stands exactly five feet off the ground. Her face never really lost its baby appearance, making most people question how old she is all the time. She keeps her blonde hair short, never letting it get much longer than her shoulders. Sometimes she’ll wear accessories in her hair, most commonly a hairband that has a bow on it. The bow always matches whatever outfit she has chosen for the day. Her eyes are an aquamarine-blue, though they will sometimes pale to almost grey.
Her physique (other than being short) is that of a person who is well taken care of. Having lived in a wealthy household, her meals were always of top quality, not to mention extremely nutritional. She exercised daily, occasionally joining Alex during his morning jogs. Because she is almost always outside, Lina has a slight tan just about year-round (you think snow/cold will keep her inside?). During the summer she is generally a darker shade than during the winter, during which she has a more olive tone.
Personality:
Active – Even as a child, Lina always liked to be actively moving. If it wasn’t chasing Alex around outside, it was chasing him around inside. If she wasn’t doing something, she was likely dancing on the balls of her feet with impatience.
Stubborn – Probably the worst trait that Lina has is her obstinance. When she has made up her mind, the chances of changing it are slim to none. She also refuses to budge in an argument, even when the evidence is clearly against her. But if she does end up not getting her way, she will pout for days on end until someone gives her what she wants.
Spoiled – The downside to being born to a rich family is that she was spoiled rotten as a child. The maids had to do as she said and give her whatever she wanted. Her father was the worst offender of spoiling her. Whenever she asked him for something, he would give it to her with a smile. Even Alex spoils her rotten, despite how often he claims that he won’t do it again.
Intelligent – Being a wealthy child granted Lina some of the best schooling around. She was able to retain almost everything she learned (with a few exceptions, of course) and she actually enjoyed learning new things. She is quick to pick up on things that most people wouldn’t, and she calculates the outcome of her Pokémon battles the moment they start. She guesses correctly fifty-percent of the time.
History:
Lina is younger than Alex by only a few minutes. Her umbilical cord had been wrapped around his neck so it was a miracle he lived at all. He never lets her live down the fact that he’s older just as she never lets him live down the fact that she nearly killed him when they were born. From day one, they were inseparable. If they were in separate cribs, they would bawl until someone was smart enough to put them together.
By the time the twins were five, they were getting into trouble on an almost daily basis. They would steal from the kitchen—which was strictly forbidden by the head chef—throw bouncy balls around any empty room in the house—the more breakable things inside, the better—disregard orders from the head nanny, scream at the top of their lungs when it was bedtime, and so on. The only time they ever truly behaved themselves was during bath-time and when they were asleep.
When the twins started schooling at six, their personalities began to differ quite extensively. While Lina could easily bury her nose in a book, Alex would always fall asleep two paragraphs in. He relied heavily on his sister when it came to school. At eleven, when most kids began their Pokémon journeys, Lina and Alex were kept in school, much to their dismay. Education, mother always said, plays a very important role in every person’s life. Lina would always argue that Trainers can learn as they go, and that most of the schooling they were partaking in was general stuff (math, history, boring stuff). Mother held firm and no amount of whining to Daddy did anything.
Now, at seventeen, the twins have decided to drop out of school and begin their journey together. Their parents were a little miffed at first, but have come around and wish them well.
Other:
This girl can sing! She often sings her Pokémon (and her twin) to sleep or hums as they walk along whatever route they're taking. Her parents are extremely rich. They donate money to Pokémon Research programs all the time and host parties at their estate to “share the wealth”.

Sweat glistened on the brow of the young blond, but she made no movement to wipe it away. Blue-grey eyes remained fixed on the young man standing just a few feet in front of her. Why was he making her do this? Because he was a cruel slightly-older brother who loved to terrorize her. No...That wasn’t true. At least not completely. Alex loved her, probably more than their father did. But at that moment, Lina seriously wanted to beat him up.
So she did.
Or at least tried to. She lunged forward, gloved fists flying madly. Unlike herself, Alex was experienced in boxing. He easily dodged his sister’s pathetic attempts to punch him and he quickly struck back, knocking her onto her butt. As she whined, nursing the wound, Alex crossed his arms, a confident smirk slipping onto his face.
“Last time I checked, Lee, you don’t get any points for missing.” Lina glared up at her brother before getting to her feet. “Oh shut up, Alex! Why am I training with you anyway? Isn’t Daddy home to help you?” Alex lifted a glove hand, waving it back and forth as he tutted at her. “Lina, Lina, Lina.” The girl rolled her eyes, placing her gloved hands on her hips. “What, what, what?”
Alex merely grinned before rushing forward, catching Lina off guard. She squealed loudly, swinging her hand out in surprise. Astonishingly, she actually caught her brother across the jaw. Unfortunately, a hit out of bounds gained her no points. That didn’t stop her from repeating the offense, over and over until Alex was on his back, laughing as he guarded his face.
“You should have seen your face, Lee!” Alex laughed, gasping for air. In annoyance, Lina brought her knee down on her brother’s stomach, causing his laughter to cut short, followed by violent coughing. Satisfied, she tore off the gloves, tossing them across the room. “I hope you throw up.” Alex glared at the back of his sister’s head as she strolled towards the door. “I really hate you...” Lina grinned, spinning back to face her brother. “I know you do.”
Just before Lina reached the door to the living room, it swung open. She jumped slightly, placing her heart over her chest in fright. “Don’t do that to me, Daddy!” Her father grinned, patting her gently on the head. “My apologies, my dear.” He turned a more stern expression to his son. “Come here, Alex. I have news for the two of you.” By then, Lina was dancing on the balls of her feet. Daddy’s news was always something important, something worth hearing. It wasn’t, however, worth it to wait until Alex joined them. “He can hear you fine, Daddy. Tell us, tell us!”
David smiled down at his daughter and laughed. “Alright, alright, I’ll tell you.” He paused for dramatic effect, earning a very impatient look from Lina. His smile widened and a twinkle appeared in his grey eyes. “I’ve just spoken with Professor Laurel. He isn’t too busy at the moment so if you want to get your first Pokémon, I’d recommend doing so right now.” Lina let out a girlish squeal, throwing her arms around her father’s neck. He laughed before spinning her around, earning a giggle. Alex sauntered over, crooking a smile of his own. “Now off with you!” David laughed, urging both of his children towards the door. “And don’t you dare come back without an impressive Pokémon!”
With a kiss on the cheek as a farewell, Lina grabbed her brother’s hand and yanked him out the front door, racing down the path that led to Professor Laurel’s lab. She couldn’t have been more excited.
((To be honest, this is quite a bit longer than what I normally do. I typically write around 400-500 word posts.))
