THE ADOPTION CENTRE
"Good day, how may I help you?"
"Good day, how may I help you?"
The Adoption Centre is a sleepy, warm sanctuary founded by Walter D. Price thirty years ago when he discovered an horde of abandoned Pokémon on the streets. He set it up to care for these Pokémon and to attempt to rehome them with passing travellers. The centre is a red brick building with a bright blue door and sprightly hanging flower baskets on the front, while a tall lamp-post with two glowing lamps illuminates the sign above the entrance. The pathway is always kept immaculately tidy and the glass of the windows is never grimy, thanks to the efforts of the diligent Ellen Price.
Ellen is a demure-looking young woman with a pale complexion and wispy dark brown hair whose work clothes look like something out of a Victorian novel. She has a full-skirted red dress and a pink apron on top with all her hair tucked into a pink bonnet to match. Oddly enough, she sometimes pairs these with heavy workman gloves when she's working with dangerous Pokémon, so she can look a bit bizarre. She is so meek-looking that you'd think she was always softly-spoken and quiet but this is not the case.
Most of the time she is quiet and peaceable, but on occasion you may see a very different side to Ellen Price. Whenever the deeply beloved Pokémon of the Adoption Centre are brought to mention, Ellen is like a fierce mother bear. She will never relinquish any of her charges to a trainer she doesn't deem worthy, so any sign of bad intent will immediately cause her - or rather her hefty Hariyama - to kick you out. Prove that you're a good and honest trainer who cares for their Pokémon, however, and she will be all too happy to introduce you to one of the abandoned Pokémon needing loving homes.
