"Come right in, snookum!"

Once upon a time, there was a lady with a dream. Not just any lady, mind, and not just any dream. This lady was one Ms Nancy Hemlock, world-class gardener and class A nutjob. For a long time she lived virtually outdoors, having filled her house with every plant imaginable. Eventually, she decided she could start making money from her obsessive love of all things floral, and she set up a plant shop in Cornlily City, where she had easy access to the enormous Fallow Forest.

Today, that plant shop remains, an eccentric white building with a mad explosion of hanging baskets, climbing creepers and the occasional palm tree. Nancy is almost alarmingly excited whenever a customer enters her shop and will do her utmost to welcome them, unless her alarming fashion sense and use of pet names drives them away before she can say "flobbergrass fern". On the surface, though, Nancy is a bonkers but harmless middle-aged plant fanatic, making a living selling her speciality miniature Oran Trees.

However. Some may notice that on the dusty back shelf of her luminously coloured shop, there is a row of rather more sinister stock. That's right; Nancy's own genetically modified brands of the world's most deadly poisons - belladonna, moonseed, angel's trumpet, stinkweed, and her personal favourite, conium maculatum - all lurk back there, signalling something more than a harmless interest in plants. And if you come at just the wrong time, Nancy might be in her back room behind a closed door, from whose cracks eerie lights and the occasional trill of laughter can be detected...

Of course, it's usually perfectly safe to come in and purchase plants or even Pokémon from Nancy. But inquiries into her more adventurous activities could reap either interesting rewards or appalling consequences.
