THE ICE GYM
"Welcome to Fionola's frosty gym!"
The gym in Fionola is quite magnificent, almost carved out of the snowy landscape itself. Built a decade or so ago, it is a futuristic stadium nestled in the snow on the mountaintop, built entirely out of smooth sheets of crystal and ice that never melt in the sub-zero temperatures. It resembles a sports arena with its wide oval base and magnificent domed roof, which is sculpted into smooth ridges that resemble frozen waves spiralling down to the icy ground. Attached by narrow, circular tubes to the main hub of the gym are several other dome-shaped pods that house many of the trainers there.
Once inside, the gym is devilishly difficult to navigate. Its interior is virtually one great, complex ice rink complete with slides and staircases that prevent easy access to its leader, Ice, who awaits challengers in the main arena which can only be reached by navigating through a series of confusing ice caves. The passages twist and turn and at times descend into flat out slopes that can send you skidding to who-knows-where. Hopefully, though, you'll find a way to get through to the main arena and fight the leader.
Ice, as he prefers to be known, is a talented leader, but he's not entirely enthused about being a gym leader. That's not to say he won't fight his hardest, because you can be sure he'll give all challengers a pounding if he can, but he certainly does want more from life than just running a gym. He's a cool, confident character who's perfectly at home in his frosty palace, and only victory will result in the Freeze Badge.
Ace Trainer Nika
Nika is tough, cool, icy and severe. She'll not hesitate to thrash anyone, whether they're old, young, strong or weak.

Supernerd Willis
Willis has almost been thrown out of the gym several times for attempting to use his robot creations to help him win battles, so watch out for his sneaky tactics.

Snowboarder Ryan
