[/table]IRIS MUSEUM
"...we've got some great Sciadopityaceae fossils"
Up until about one year ago, Iris Museum, though a charming little museum with various interesting artefacts from around Caligo, was largely unknown. However, when one of its resident archaeologists made a breakthrough discovery, suddenly it was put on the map. Professor Clancey's remarkable new fossil, said to be one of several pieces, seemed to be a groundbreaking step in the patchwork tale of Pokémon history with the potential to shape the future. Yet mere weeks after, Clancey's claims were dismissed as a money-spinning hoax and the Professor himself disappeared without trace.
Some months after this, when the story was all but forgotten, Iris Museum was back in the headlines when a break-in resulted in the theft of Clancey's fossil. No leads were found since the only clue, a black joker playing card found at the crime scene, was dismissed as litter and the police were eager to abandon the entire investigation.
Since then, Iris Museum, home to such wonders as a splendid Protarchaeopteryx skull and a set of marvellous microfossils, has returned to its quiet daily business now the heat of media attention and scandal has died down. But naturally, there are still plenty of curious trainers who are convinced there's more to the story which originated in the tranquil seaside museum.
The current curator, Dr Taylor-Ellis, is young, feisty and utterly impassioned about fossils. Visiting her for all things ancient is a good idea; pestering her about the break in will not win you favour. But she is the one of two people who used to work here with the missing Professor Clancey, and of the two who've been here throughout all the goings on, she's certainly the more pleasant conversationalist.NPCs in Iris Museum:

Dr Taylor-Ellis - adoptable - A young fossil expert, Dr Theresa Taylor-Ellis is outspoken and highly intelligent and won't put up with any nonsense, so if you're looking to get on her good side don't ask stupid questions and try to use a few six syllable words. She doesn't battle because she considers such things beneath her academic prowess, but she has a Luxray who keeps an eye on things with her. Dr Taylor-Ellis is not one to dilly-dally with conspiracy theories and other disturbances to her crucial research into the dietary habits of ancient Pikachu ancestors.

Researcher Dermot - adoptable - Dermot is a junior museum worker, though he knows virtually everything there is to know about both archaeological matters and the museum's exhibits. He's utterly uncharming and socially difficult, and he's generally only out for himself so he won't help anyone from the goodness of his heart. He doesn't like doing favours for people - unless, of course, it happens to be a certain auburn-haired palaeontologist (infatuation doesn't even begin to cover it). However, Dermot's been at the museum for nearly as long as Dr Taylor-Ellis, and he too used to know Professor Clancey.[atrb=style,padding-left:60px;]
